That is a great question with a lot of variables*. In general, you can expect it to take about 30 min per room to load onto a truck. Add drive time between the 2 locations. Then 20 min per room to unload. Add 30 min per flight of stairs. When you call and we get more details about your move, we can give you a better window of time.
*Variables that can add more time: Flights of stairs, amount of Furniture that needs to be taken apart and put back together (poster beds, canopies, bunk beds, entertainment centers, exercise equipment, etc.) Amount of glass tables and mirrors, distance between truck parking and house, weather, amount of boxes (Are the boxes all sealed and labeled?), safes, large appliances, etc.
What's included in the price?
For local moves, our hourly rate includes use of pads, furniture and appliance dollies, and up to one roll of shrink wrap free of charge. If you are doing a one-way move, or storing items in a storage unit or Pod, you will need to provide pads for your items. You can rent pads through Pods/Uhaul or purchase pads at Menards or Harbor Freight Tools. We recommend a dozen per room. We also sell pads for $12 a pad if needed.
How much should I tip my movers?
Our movers greatly appreciate tips and tipping your mover for a job well done is a personal choice, just like tipping a server or your beautician.
Do you move pianos?
We only move upright pianos up to 45 inches tall on the main floor of your house for an additional $100 charge. We do NOT move pianos up or down more than 4 steps. We do NOT move Grand, or Baby Grand pianos as we do not have the equipment to do so.
Do you charge extra for stairs, long walk-ways, disassembly/re-assembly of furniture?
No, never. We charge an hourly rate. It just takes more time. We see no need to double whammy our customers. Our only requirement is for 2 bedroom or larger apartments, located on the 3rd floor or higher, without an elevator, must book at least 3 movers for a 3 hour minimum.
How can I save money on my move?
One of the largest ways to save money is to rent your own truck. The extra fees kick in when we have to transport your items. If you rent your own Uhaul, Penske or storage container like a POD, we provide the labor and even pads and shrink wrap. You save money by us not charging you an hourly rate for the truck. Other ways to save money is to have all of your items boxed, sealed, labeled and ready to go. This will help the movers to beable to stack boxes all the way to the ceiling and fill in all available space in the truck. Open boxes do not stack. It will take the movers less time if you move all your boxes to the main level, take apart your own beds, and have all loose garage items boxed as well.
My situation is unique, We have 2 closings we are trying to juggle. Any ideas?
Yes, we have a few ideas to make your move go more smoothly. Give us a call and we can discuss a few options.

Our reviews show that our movers take great care of moving your items carefully and padding your furniture to keep it safe in transport.
